In Memorium

Earth lost a magical being and friend of mine early this year. Dennis Hebert is responsible for bringing computerized control to the Dancing Fountains "Fountania" at the world-famous Hollywood Magic Castle. He arranged the donation of control hardware from his employer, Gilderfluke & Co., and provided design assistance and software training. He stayed up all night, outdoors with us last November, 1999 helping me program the 5-1/2 minute show, in order to have it ready for a ribbon cutting ceremony presented by magicians Siegfried & Roy the next day. That morning, upon sunrise, we finished the programming and Dennis rushed off to catch a plane to Taiwan for business matters. He wasn't paid a dime for his efforts on this project; it was a true labor of love. His Spirit continues to perform here every night. I expect now that he'll perform his role as the system's guardian angel. So far, so good.
