I worked on miniatures and effects for this show for well over a year. I designed and built the armature for the Mir Space Station pictured here, along with the electronics and motion control rigging, and oversaw the electronics and MoCo rigging of the space shuttles and gantries. Also, I worked closely with VFX Supervisor Pat McClung, Director of Photography Philip Timme and MoCo Programmer Chris Dawson, to rig, dress and tweak the models for each specific shot.

This is the 1/4 scale Armadillo and crew led by Cory Faucher. It sports a water-cut aluminum frame, full suspension, radio controlled, 4WD, 8-wheel steering, and packing 7 of the god-awful brightest mini-HMI arc-lamps as headlights.
