MAGIC & PERFORMANCE

Here are some shots from my magic portfolio.

This waterwalk/levitation is something I developed in the late 80's. These images were shot by the world famous photographer, Tom Tuttle, formerly of Santa Barbara, who is now living the good life on South Florida Beaches.

The wide shot below is an impromptu variation I'm performing on a lake in Beijing, China.

My stage act concludes with sawing a volunteer in half. Some of my victims have included Kenny Loggins, Ed Begley Jr., and Jonathan Winters. Magic is one of those universal languages that intrigues and appeals to most all people of all ages.

This news photo was taken during my reenactment of Houdini's Underwater Trunk Escape off Santa Barbara's Stearn's Wharf.

Cosponsored by the city for tourism publicity, I was shackled and locked inside a clear plastic crate and submerged 30-feet underwater, and given three minutes until a rescue takes place. Not only did I escape, but I changed wetsuits and became my own rescue diver. Two places at once? Tricky tricky. I then left the crate, still sealed, on display for the spectators examination. As a result, we attracted considerable national TV and print coverage.
