This was a series of three commercials directed
by Ron Fenley. One depicted the planting of a little "M", which sprouts
a complete McDonald's restaurant. I designed a McDonald's sign in three stages of
growth. The photos above show the animatronic tabletop rig and the large, 12-foot
tall "puppet". I can be seen in the darkness of the top right corner, marionetting
the sign.
Below is a set containing a bathtub-like
balloon gondola we built, ready to fly over the eight (goofy) wonders of the world.
